“Speak only that which will bring you honour” – Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The learners of Grade VII Damodar presented a thought-provoking and meaningful assembly on the theme ‘Gurpurab’ on the 19th November. The assembly commenced with a ‘PrabhatPheree’ and some illuminating words by beloved Vice-Principal, MsHarvinder Kaur, followed by a prayer :IkOnkar, The class choir opened the assembly with a soulful and mesmerising shabad ‘Nanak Aaya’, followed by a musical presentation, highlighting the various teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, while also showing how they are still relevant in this day and age. With great energy and passion, learners performed the famous ‘Bhangra’ dance on the song ‘DolJageero Da’, and invited parents on the stage to join them in the celebration. This collective effort was capped off with enlightening words shared by the Class Teacher, Ms Aditya Vashist , who also spoke about the various teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and their great relevance in our lives.The event culminated with appreciation and motivating messages from the Vice-Principal, Ms. Harvinder Ma’am. It truly felt as if Guru Nanak Dev Ji was omnipresent , blessing the children and the school and we pray that we continue to follow his preaching to the utmost and make this world a more peaceful and happy place to live in.
