Lotus Valley International School observed Gurupurab, one of Sikhism's many auspicious holy festivals, in accordance with the school's secular culture. Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Prakash Utsav, was celebrated by learners of Grades PN-III to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
On this auspicious day, our Pre-primary learners learned about Guru Nanak Dev ji'slife and teachings through various audio-visual aids. Learners and mentors respectfully covered their heads as a ritual while chanting 'shabad' and holy hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib. The significance of 'PrabhatPheris, Langar, and Nagar Kirtan' was thoroughly discussed with the learners. The spiritual aura of devotional 'Bhajans' and 'Ardas' intensified the religious fervor. Learners of Grades I and II were educated about Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings, as well as the importance of ‘EK ONKAR’ and the 5 K's of Sikhism, through an informative presentation. The day ended with a message emphasizing the important virtues and values professed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji to uphold his ideals and principles.
