If there is light in the soul, There is beauty in the person,
If there is beauty in the person, There will be harmony in the house,
If there is harmony in the house, There will be order in the nation,
If there is order in the nation, There will be peace in the world.
On September 21, 2021, the International Day of Peace and World Gratitude Day was observed around the world. We Lotusians, understand that World Peace and Harmony is the need of the hour, and that without them, political, economic, cultural advancement will be unachievable.
To mark the importance of the day, our Pre-Nursery peacemakers learned the significance of ‘Dove’ as a symbol of peace and also the meaning of magic words like ‘Thankful, Grateful, and Blessed’. Grade-Nursery learners took part in the Kindness Jar activity to emphasize on the importance of peace and gratitude. The appreciative students of Grade Prep actively participated in the exercise ‘My Gratitude Rainbow’, in which they counted their blessings. Music is widely acknowledged as humanity's universal language. Grade I students were engrossed in a fun listening activity in which they turned their imaginations into beautiful masterpieces. Learners of Grade II, with the goal of promoting peace and showing gratitude participated in an intriguing activity ' Up-Grate to Peace’, in which our visionaries showed appreciation to nature, community, and family for the gifts they provide and pondered how they might return the favour. Grade III learners shared anecdotes about how appreciative and thankful they are for their guiding angels through a lovely and insightful activity 'Gratitude for my Peace Angel’. The day concluded with a prayer to show our gratitude towards God for the uncountable blessings we all have in our lives and a wish for World Peace and Unity. Peace and harmony is the fundamental prerequisite of our life and an ideal path to follow
