“Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible.” – Marion C. Garretty
Mothers are a priceless gift from God and a perfect amalgamation of love, devotion and sacrifice. The bond of a mother and her child is inexplicable and to celebrate this bond, Mother’s Day is observed every year on 8th of May. The Primary Wing of our School celebrated this day with great zeal and exuberance to foster the social and emotional health of the learners through motherly love and compassion.
In the spirit of the day, our tinytots of Grade Pre-Nursery embraced and later crowned their mothers with a handcrafted token of love and appreciation, a vibrant crown, declaring ‘my MOM is my Queen’. Our little learners of Grade Nursery made the day special by creating heartwarming video messages, beautifully compiled by the teachers for the wonderful mothers. A myriad of presentations by learners of Grade Prep helped them express their gratitude and respect for their mothers through a virtual event. The highlight of the event was the dazzling rampwalk by our incredible mothers. All our Pre-Primary learners also made splendid mother’s day cards and alluring heart shaped pendants with clay.
Learners of Grade I celebrated this momentous day with their mothers on an online platform by sharing fascinating cards made for them . ‘Dil se dil tak ’activity by Grade II learners spread over two days was an expression of their enduring love for their mothers. Heart-felt messages on little sticky notes were put together on a big heart cutout put up on their class boards. Later these messages became a part of their unique handprint cards each illustrated beautifully, as a token of appreciation for their mothers.
It was a delight to hear the Grade III learners share their mom’s favourite things and presented wonderful handmade cards thus creating timeless memories for the mothers and the children. The Mother’s Day celebration was indeed a memorable event to witness how precious Mother’s unconditional love is for each of us.
