It was a moment of pride to welcome the new parents and their children to the Lotus Valley Family on the memorable Orientation Day celebrated on February 12, 2022, which was attended by our revered School Patron, Dr Shayama Chona, the Chairperson, Ms Jaspreet Kaur, Member of the Managing Committee, Ms Sureena Uppal, the Director Principal, Ms Anita Malhotra, the Headmistresses, Ms Harvinder Kaur and Ms Ritu Jawa, Faculty Members and Students!
The programme commenced with a welcome note by the Headboy, Anirudh Rathod and Headgirl, Arushi Banerjee, followed by a candour conversation wherein learners shared their memoirs! The icing on the cake was the innocent heart to hearts by our young sparks, Vanshika and Suvikram!
Decennial, a video that took everyone down the memory lane showcased the rich legacy of LVIS. While Lotusians created strides with Sankalp, the soulful musical rendition that highlighted our journey from Motivation to Manifestation, Udaan, the captivating dance performance was truly heartening. Voice of Our Alumni, with Kriti Malik, Pranav Goswamy and Nanaki Singh Ahluwalia was exalting.
The address by the Director Principal put in the picture of what Lotus Valley is all about! She expressed immense joy and gratitude on the profundity of the school’s journey and its progress and emphasized on how parents are partners in making the child achieve his highest potential, which is scaffolded by our meticulously planned curricula well-woven with various co-scholastic activities.
The most awaited segment of the event was, Guftagu, with our dearest School Patron, Dr Shayama Chona. Dr Chona’s sapient guidance and recommendations to the new parents was unparalleled. In her succinct address, Dr Chona humbly advised to ‘weaken the weaknesses, and strengthen the strengths, and how necessary it is to try to make, more the most, and less the least!’.
The enchantment of the programme was so alive that none wanted it to culminate but every end is a new beginning. With our ethos intact, eyes set on our goals and heart brimming with optimism and joy, together, we look forward to a promising year ahead! Vote of Thanks was given by the Deputies, Ekus Singh Khosla and Manya Dhull.
