"If done correctly, radio has the potential to be far more vital than any other form of communication."
Radio is a medium that has remained popular for a long time. It's a platform where we can get information from across the globe, educate the masses, express ourselves across cultures, and of course ! listen to our favourite music.
To commemorate the journey of Radio over decades , Primary Block celebrated ‘World Radio Day’ on February 13th with a flurry of events . 'New World, New Radio' was an informative session for our Grade I learners, who were apprised about the evolution of radio across time. They also learned about the various approaches employed by well-known radio hosts from the modern and classic eras to conduct radio broadcasts. Following that, our radio enthusiasts established their own radio station, using the phrase "Innovation, Evolution, and Connection" as a guideline.
Since its inception, radio has been said to be our best friend. Grade II learners celebrated it : The 'RADVERTISEMENT' way, in which our young radio connoisseurs created jingles, songs, and slogans to promote products through their very own FM Lotus Valley channel. Our Grade III students, on the other hand, hosted the show MANN KI BAAT. Learners pretended to be radio hosts and chatted about anything which came to their mind. They discussed topics that they believed were essential and about which they could raise awareness, such as the importance of plants and their medicinal worth, animal threats, global warming, the latest electronics, and a tribute to India's Nightingale, to name a few. The day concluded with an understanding that radio is a sole broadcast medium that continues to entertain us.
